What CBM means
CBM means cubic metres, a volume measure commonly used in freight and storage. This calculator finds the volume of a rectangular package and multiplies it by the number of identical packages.

How cubic metres are calculated
Box volume = length × width × height after converting every dimension to metres.
Total CBM = volume per box × number of boxes. For centimetres, divide each dimension by 100 before multiplying.
Shipping example
A box measuring 0.60 m × 0.40 m × 0.50 m has a volume of 0.12 m³. Ten identical boxes occupy 1.20 m³ in total.

Should pallet dimensions be included?
If the pallet ships with the goods, use the outside dimensions of the prepared shipment for a space estimate.
